Principles of Mobile learning; Mobile learning like  other forms of learning has its unique principles guiding it and if you want to make the best out of any learning experience you have to understand the principles that is attributed to it.

Mobile learning is any learning activity that utilizes a mobile device–usually a smartphone. Mobile learning seeks to utilize the ubiquity and unique capabilities of mobile devices to make course materials available to students wherever they are, and to create new kinds of learning experiences that help students engage with course content and the world.

Mobile learning has at least twelve principles guiding it but in this article you will learn some of the principles of mobile learning;

1. Use your mobile devices:
This is an obvious principle, just as you cannot write without your pen and notebook, the same thing goes for mobile learning since you cannot learn without your mobile devices and it is safe and easy to use at your convenience.

2. Give room for social interaction:
This is a key principle in mobile learning since encouraging group work and other forms of social interactions improves students communication skills and also allows them to build relationships that would be beneficial to them not only while learning but also in other aspects of their lives.

3. Blend it with traditional learning:
Just because technological advancements has almost overshadowed the traditional method of teaching doesn’t mean that it should be completely stopped instead it is always best to combine both the mobile learning and traditional learning together to achieve blended learning which gives students an efficient learning experience.

4. Ensure flexibility:
It should be noted that one of the major principles of mobile learning is the flexibility and diversity it gives to the students such that they are not restricted in anyway and are able to learn any day at anytime regardless of their location.

5. Encourage Evaluation and Reflection:
Reflection is an important aspect that’s not only applicable to mobile learning but to all forms of learning. It allows students to evaluate and think about what they have learnt, what they need to work on and how they can do better.
